Thar Desert. Jeep safari is for those who go for the challenging heights
and its wilderness. Elephant safari is the most relaxed one and, yet you'll

( 1 ) Angling & Fishing in India
Fishing in the jungles and angling at the various rivers and lake sides,

in India. Rivers such as Cauvery, which meander through the forested regions
of Karnataka offer both adventure and opportunity for nature lovers.
Major Fishing & Angling Sites
The varied topography comprises hilly and riverine areas, temporary marshy
depressions, plateaus and ravines. The lower areas are almost completely
populated by Sal trees. In the park are found 110 tree species, 50 mammals
species, 580 bird species and 25 reptile species.
Tirthan Valley, Himachal Pradesh : Himachal is known as one of the
best destination when it comes to leisure activities like fishing and angling.
One such destination is Tirtan valley, which will mesmerise you by the natural
surroundings of snowclad peaks. Watching the sun go down spreading variant
hues in the sky is another sight to see at Tirthan. And if you take pleasure

Sereolesar lake side, just waiting to be discovered.
The Ramganga and Kosi Rivers, Corbett National Park : Fishing and
angling in the rivers Ramganga and Kosi are like a dream come true for an
angler. Large Mahseer and even larger Goonch rule the pools of the Kosi
and the Ramganga, the same pools where Elephants, Tigers, Deers and the
wild animals residing in the famous Corbett National Park come to refresh
themselves. Rods are hosted at the luxurious Camp Forktail Creek, also home
to a great birding host.
The Sarju And Eastern Ramganga Rivers, Kumaon : Another attractive
angling site in the state of Uttranchal is situated among the Kumaon hills.
First angling tour starts at the site of river Sarju from the famous Balaghat
Gorge near Bageshwar to Kapkot on the way to Pindari Glacier. The second
angling tour starts from Eastern Ramganga from Tejam and all the way down
to Deval, Bans and Rameshwar.
( 2 ) Indian Tiger Circuit
Tiger is not only the National Animal of India; it is the very essence of
Indian wildlife. But poaching and too much killing have threatened its very
existence of this magnificent animal, Tiger. With the success of Project
Tiger some of the sanctuaries have seen a bright light and Corbett National
Park is the biggest example of it, having the highest density of tiger in
India.
( 3 ) Indian Rhinoceros - The Rhino Kingdom of India
The best option one has got to check out the Great one horned Indian Rhinoceros
is to visit the state of Assam, popularly known as the "Land of the
black Rhinoceros". The most famous Rhinoceros habitats not only in
the eastern part of India, but also in the whole of Asia are the Kaziranga
National Park and Manas Tiger Reserve.
Famous Rhino Lands In India
Kaziranga Wildlife Sanctuary : The land of Indian Rhinoceros is counted
among the two major wild pockets, the only surviving habitats of this prehistoric
survivor in India. The vast open country makes Kaziranga very accessible
and wildlife viewing fairly pleasurable. Here one can leave in the early
hours of the dawn for an elephant-back-ride.
Manas Tiger Reserve : Assam is the state of the Great

Nameri National Park : Nameri is the second Tiger Reserve

Bura-Chapuri Wildlife Sanctuary : Bura-Chapori is a
magnificent wildlife sanctuary situated on the north bank of the river Brahmaputra

Bengal Florican.
Orang Wildlife Sanctuary : Also known as Mini Kaziranga,
Orang main wild attractions include the One-Horned black Rhinoceros, Elephants,
Leopard, Sambar, Barking Deer, Tiger, variety of water birds, Green Pigeon,
and Florican.
Pabitora Wildlife Sanctuary : Pabitora Wildlife Sanctuary
was declared a reserve forest in 1971 mainly because of the few Rhinos that
were found in this region prior to the year 1971. The sanctuary has a flat
terrain with a gentle east to west inclination excluding Burha-Mayong hillock.
Dibru-Saikhowa National Park : Located on the alluvial
flood plains of Brahmaputra in Upper Assam neighboring Arunachal is a biosphere
reserve called Dibru Saikhowa National Park Its also an orchid paradise
besides being a home to numerous wild animals and birds.
Milroy Or Pabha Sanctuary : This splendid wildlife
reserve even if doesn't have many faunal varieties to offer, still it possesses
the most coveted one, the Wild Water Buffalo. This sanctuary has been exclusively
built for the protection of the wild water buffalo.
Sonai Rupai Wildlife Sanctaury : Covering a slightly
larger area than the Pabha Sanctuary, the Sonai Rupai is quite a wonderful
wildlife hub of Assam. And its insured among its wild treasure not only
the exotic wildlife but also the scenic beauty that surround its boundaries.

( 5 ) Exploring Marine Life in India
With a vast coastal stretch from the Arabian Sea to the Indian Ocean and

( 6 ) Abode Of The King - Indian Lion
From Gujarat's splendid wildlife reserves that are quite out of the ordinary
and the most amazing one is the Gir National Park, where the last surviving
population of the Asiatic lion is to be found. Being a major wildlife conservation
hub of India, Gir is a refuge of more than 300 lions.
Popularly known as Sasangir, Gir national park and sanctuary is blessed
with some of the most diverse wild attractions and natural surroundings.
The Lion safari park has a rugged terrain and the steep rocky hillsides
are covered in mixed deciduous forests. Gir is also rich with other wild
animals such as Leopards, Chital, Nilgai, Chinkara, Four Horned Antelope
and wild Boar.
The prey animals at Gir are generally smaller in Gir than they are in Africa,
and hunting groups tend to be smaller as well. The Gir Lions themselves
arent as big as African lions, and they have shorter manes and a long
fold of skin on their undersides that many lions in Africa dont have.
