Arrive into Delhi
Welcome to Vardhman's "Wildlife Safari Tour in India"!
On arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative
to your hotel. Relax for a while and then proceed on a city tour.
Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a modern Hindu
Temple, Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building and Connaught
place, the shopping centre of New Delhi.
Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama Masjid,
one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana, the cremation
sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Also drive past Chandni Chowk,
shopping centre of Old Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi - Khajuraho - Bandhavgarh
Next day, early morning transfer to the Delhi airport to catch flight
to Khajuraho. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the Bandhavgarh
wildlife sanctuary. Upon arrival, check into your hotel for an overnight
stay.
Bandhavgarh National Park: It is one of the most exotic wildlife destinations
in India. An erstwhile game reserve of the royal family of Rewa, Bandhavgarh
got recognition as a wildlife park in 1968, when the Maharaja of Rewa
bequeathed the park to the Government. Initially the park stretched to
105.40-sq-kms in area, with 25 resident tigers forming its prime attraction.
Visiting Bandhavgarh and trailing tigers on Elephant Safari or cutting
through the jungle tracks in a jeep (Jeep Safari) promises to give you
one of the best wildlife experiences in the state.

Day 04: Bandhavgarh - Khajuraho
We proceed further on this wildlife tour; where our next destination is
Khajuraho, built by the warrior Chandela dynasty that rose to power in
Central India between 10th & 11th centuries, the 25 odd surving temples
display different facets of life, including the sensual. These erotic
carvings on some panels have given rise to much speculation since Khajurahoâ's
re-discovery by a British officer in 1838. To preserve it for posterity,
Khajuraho has been declared a World Heritage Site.

Day 05: Khajuraho
Full day sightseeing of east and west Chandela Group of Temples. The world
famous temples of Khajuraho are evident of the influence of Vaishnaism,
Jainism, and tantrism. Each temple stands on a high and solid masonry
terrace. Though none of the temples are very large, they are still imposing
structures because of their elegant proportions and rich surface sculpture.

Day 06: Khajuraho - Orchha - Shivpuri
Next day from Khajuraho early morning drive to Shivpuri. En-route visiting
monument of Orchha. Upon arrival check into your hotel for an overnight
rest. It is situated on an elevated watershed from which streams radiate
in all directions. It formerly served as a summer capital of Gwalior princely
state. In 1804 the town was captured from the Narwar Rajput chief by the
Sindhia Family, whose palace still stands. Nearby are marble cenotaphs
of the Sindhia rulers. Shivpuri, which was constituted a municipality
in 1904, has a hospital, a forestry training school, and a college affiliated
with Jiwaji University. A national park and wildlife sanctuary surround
the city, which is connected by road and rail with Gwalior.

Day 07: Shivpuri
Enjoy early morning and late afternoon two safaris in the jungle, to have
a better view of the animals in their natural habitats.

Day 08: Shivpuri - Ranthambore
Next morning depart for the Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary. Check into
your hotel for an overnight stay.
Ranthambore National Park: One of the best places to witness the rich
wildlife of India. Situated at the junction of the Aravalli and Vindhya
hill range, the park is spread over an area of approximately 400 sq km.
As far as the origin of the park is concerned, it was declared a wildlife
sanctuary in 1957. Later, in 1981, it was given the status of a National
Park.The Ranthambhore Wildlife Sanctuary of India remains open every year
from October to Mid June.

Day 10: Ranthambore - Jaipur
Morning depart for the beautiful Pink City-Jaipur. Upon arrival check
into your pre-booked hotel. Relax for the remaining part of the day.

Day 11: Jaipur
City tour of Pink City-Jaipur
This morning you will experience the wonders of this magicial pink city,
as you proceed on a tour of Amber fort (optional: Elephant Safari). Later
visit the Jagmandir or the Hall of victory glitterning with mirrors, Maharaja's
City Palace and the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal or the Palace of
Winds and through the rose pink residential and business areas of Jaipur.
Optional: Lunch at a Heritage hotel with Tonga ride or explore the market
& shop for special bargains!

Day 12: Jaipur - Agra via Bharatpur & Fatehpur Sikri
This morning after a leisurely breakfast proceed to the Romantic City
of Taj Mahal-Agra. Enroute visit Bharatpur and Fatehpur Sikri.
Bharat Pur Wildlife Sanctuary: Originally a duck shooting preserve of
Maharaja Suraj Mull of Bharatpur, the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary of Rajasthan
was declared a national park in 1982. Later, in 1985, it was listed as
a World Heritage site by Unesco. At present, the Rajasthan Keoladeo Ghana
National Park serves as one of the chief breeding and feed grounds for
the birds around the world. The Bharat Pur Wildlife Sanctuary, of Rajasthan,
houses approximately 300 species of birds. Amongst them, the most prominent
ones are Painted Storks, Open and Spoon Bills, Egrets, Cormorants, White
Ibis, Jacanas, While Harriers, Fishing Eagles, Pied Kingfisher, etc. However,
the most awaited species of birds is the Siberian Crane. Apart from Iran,
India is the only place where this bird migrates in winter.
Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri:built by Emperor
Akbar in 1569, was the old capital of the Mughals, which was abandoned
after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including
the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal & other Palaces
which are still preserved in its original glory.
Arrive Agra by later evening and check into your hotel for an overnight
rest.

Day 13: Agra
Early morning visit Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday) during Sunrise. Return
back to the hotel, take breakfast and then proceed for the local sightseeing
of Agra.
Visit Red fort & Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula. Later you will visit a marble
gallery - the flagship store in Agra which offers an excellant range of
white marble, fashionable wear & exotic wooden articles, truly a one
stop shop!

Day 14: Agra-Delhi
This morning after a leisurely breakfast drive back to Delhi Airport/railway
station to board the flight/train for your onward journey to back home
with sweet and unforgettable memories of "Wildlife Safari Tour in
